School Closure Enrichment Plan for Students

Student Meals during the School Closure
Breakfast and lunch will still be available to students during the school closure. Grab and go meals may be picked up Monday through Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the O'Farrell Charter School parking lot at 6130 Skyline Dr. A station will be set up for you to come and pick up food. One lunch and one breakfast per student, per day.
Desayuno y almuerzo continuará a ser proveído durante el cierre de la escuela. Comida para llevar a casa se puede recoger de Lunes a Viernes dentro de las 11:00 am a 1:00pm en el estacionamiento de O’Farrell Charter, 6130 Skyline Drive. Cada dia en la estación temporal podrá recoger una comida de desayuno y una de almuerzo por cada estudiante.
CA Meals for Kids App
The CA Meals for Kids app (available in Apple's App Store, Google Play Store and Microsoft's App Store) helps students find the closest locations of meal programs. Watch the video below to find out how to use the app. Please make the video full screen for ease of viewing.

CalFresh/CalWORKS Grocery Delivery
Effective April 28th, CalFresh and CalWORKS recipients can use their EBT card to purchase groceries online at Walmart and Amazon. Please see the flyer below from more details.
Reminder - More than 250,0000 Students in San Diego County are Eligible for Pandemic EBT Benefits
Students who received free or reduced-price lunch during school are eligible for a one-time payment of up to $365 in groceries, depending on how many eligible children are in the household, the county said. Those same students are also able to obtain grab-n-go meals that are being distributed by schools and community organizations.

Covid-19 Vaccine Appointment Scheduling Assistance
Our Registrar, Susana Niles, is volunteering her time to assist parents of enrolled students to schedule Covid-19 vaccine appointments

Get Vaccinated at a Location Near You
Doctors, pharmacies, community clinics, and other healthcare providers are working to provide vaccinations. Supplies remain limited. Please be patient and check the website regularly for open appointments.
First, check with your healthcare provider for a vaccination.
If you cannot get a vaccination from a healthcare provider, visit myturn.ca.gov or the County of San Diego vaccination website. Vaccines are free and you do not need health insurance to be vaccinated.
COVID-19 Monoclonal Antibody Infusion Clinic
Family Health Centers of San Diego offer treatment to COVID-19 patients within the first 10 days of mild to moderate symptoms and with high-risk conditions.

The San Diego COVID-19 Children's Fund supports childcare, food assistance, and equitable distance learning during these unprecedented times. The San Diego COVID-19 Children's Fund can provide financial support to families experiencing need. For more information please visit their website below.
Emergency Rental Assistance Program
The county of San Diego has created an Emergency Rental Assistance Program. Please visit this link for more information and for the eligibility and application information. Eligible applicants may receive up to $3,000 for assistance with rent payments.

3. Contact your wireless provider to ask about unlimited data. Some providers are offering a change of plan to unlimited data for households with students in K-12.
